With a two-group design, there are different levels of treatments, which would be the experimental group and the control group (Myers & Hansen, 2012).

For my example, I chose to write about how much a person drinks alcohol daily and their anxiety level as well as exercising level.

DV: Alcohol amount

IV: Drinks alcohol

·      Level 1: Control group = No alcohol

·      Level 2: Experimental group = Drinks alcohol

IV1: Anxiety

·      Level 1: Low

·      Level 2: Moderate

·      Level 3: High

IV2: Exercising amount

·      Level 1: 1x a week

·      Level 2: every other day

·      Level 3: Every day
