Procedure –

 

1.    Review the Discussion Questions and User Checklist at the end of Chapter 23, Alternative Project Teams, in your text Project Management: Strategic Design and Implementation.

The questions needs to be answered based off the company Johnson & Johnson

 

2.    Questions:

 

o    To what extent have alternative teams been used in your organization for the management of change?

 

o    What are some of the principle reasons that alternative teams are becoming key elements in the design of contemporary organizational forms?

 

o    Benchmarking teams are a relatively new phenomenon in the business enterprise. What are the advantages to using a team to carry out a competitive assessment?

 

o    What are some of the principal reasons reengineering teams have not been able to deliver useful results, as had been anticipated when such teams were launched in the enterprise?

 

o    Is it possible in the modern industrial enterprise to deal with operational and strategic changes without using alternative teams? Why or why not?

 

3.    Write a paper that includes this information:

 

§  (Johnson & Johnson) The name of the organization and pertinent background information about it.

 

§  Your results from Steps 2-4.

 

§  Any additional conclusions you can draw from your answers
