After reading what the authors recommended be used for verbiage to ensure accurate health statistics I can see the ways in which someone could be mislead on the outcomes of a medical trial. If only a small portion of a study or trial is relayed and sheds a positive light on the outcomes it would be very misleading. Especially misleading to a consumer who wouldn’t be looking at the whole picture or study. What do you think their advise would be to a consumer who is contemplating using a product and only hearing the statistics and highlights of a medication or treatment?
