Outline:
1. Abstract
2. The background of crime, such as types of crime (Property, murder, assault, theft, etc.,)
3. Describe the data in detail (see attached the excel of FIN 570 final paper database)
4. Analysis the mean, variance etc., (the table of summary statistics in final paper-results).
5. Multiple linear regression (table of crime regression) & log multiple linear regression (table of log multiple regression) (SAS).(see attached final paper-results). Explain the results of SAS, the relationship of two linear regressions. E.g. parameter estimates.
6. Analyze the results, including the differences of two regressions.(see attached final paper-results).
7. Comparisons should be drawn with the result of similar existing studies if relevant, e.g. do you results confirm or contradict those of previous research?
8. Conclusions: re-state the original aim of the work. Give some suggestions (like how to solve the crime problems based on the independent variables)
9. SAS names: CR–crime rate, UR–unemployment rate, CG–College graduates’ rate, PG–population growth rate
