Instructions:

During the semester, each student has identified two noise meter APPs and installed in their phone. We together have conducted a series of experiments to measure the sound level using different APPs, different phones and different noise sources, and at different distances. We have used a calibrated sound level meter to evaluate the accuracy of each APP noise measurement.

You will combine ALL data we have collected, perform your own analysis, determine and recommend which APP is the most accurate and the possible application limitations (ex. phone type, measurement distance, type of noise source). You need to validate your recommendation by using some noise-related equations we discussed in the class and some appropriate statistical methods.

The report should include the following sections: Title page (title, your name, affiliation, etc.), Abstract (about 100 words), Introduction (literature review, purpose of the study, etc.), Materials and Methods (you can also include tables to list information about the APPs and phones), Results (you can include graphs or tables), Discussion, and Conclusions/recommendations.
