I need help with verification of my formulas in my Excel spreadsheet calculating an increase and decrease of percentages?

What is percent? Write your height in inches. Suppose it increases by 15%, what would your new height be? Now suppose your increased height decreases by 15% what is your new height?
I need 50-100 word explanation on what is percent and on how I obtained my results.
The wording for this DQ can be misleading. You are asked to increase your current height by 15%. Then you are asked to take that new increased height and decrease it by 15%. You are not asked to decrease your original height by 15%. Also, make sure to define percent.
I really need to make sure the formulas I have are accurate. I do not think my decrease percentage formulas and results are correct.
