The Mini-Proposal is not just a collection of information on the topic, but your Review of Literature (completed in Units 2 and 3) will include relevant information supporting the need for your study.
  • Consider your area of specialization as you develop your Mini-Proposal. For example: If you are in the Educational Administration and Teacher Leadership specializations, you may want to develop a proposal related to school or district overall areas for improvement. Curriculum and Instruction specialists may investigate areas where professional development is needed. If you are in the Teaching and Learning specialization, you may want to investigate more effective instructional and behavioral strategies, parental involvement, etc.
  • A list of possible topics has been included for your consideration in order for you to move as quickly as possible past the topic selection stage and attend to the primary activity of developing the first parts of your proposal.
