Need help with Pre_calculus: Verifying Trig Identities

Need help with Pre_calculus: Verifying Trig Identities

This is the first part that I do not understand: (We have to verify the identities according to the fundamental identities)

1) tan x +sec x = cos^2 x/ 1-sin x

2) 1/1+ cos x+ 1/1-cos x = 2 csc^2 x

We have to solve the equation on this part:

1) cos x = 3 cos x – 2

2) 2 sin^2 x-1 = 0

3) 3 sec^2x – 4 = 0

4) tan x (tanx-1) = 0

5) cos2x +3 cos x-1 = 0

6) sec^2 x + tan x-1 = 0

And I also added a file because I do not understand how to do this either. I mean I did a couple of problems on that page, but I am messing up on certain steps. I asked my instructor for help, but he is very vague when it comes to explaining.
