When gathering evidence-based information, one should select the highest level of evidence possible. When doing research to get material it is imperative to attain it for reliable sources, with the internet there are so many sources that not accurate.
Originally, levels of evidence systems were designed to assess the quality of intervention (treatment) studies only, but there are now levels of evidence scales for studies questioning etiology, diagnosis, prognosis, and harm.
Level 1- Random control trail (RCT)- is the strongest research design for treatment or intervention studies.
Level 2- Is evidence obtained from a least one well designed.
Level 3- evidence from a well-designed control trails without the randomization.
Level 4-Well designed case-control or cohort studies
Level 5- Evidence from systematic reviews.
