I remember that the use of a random number generator on a pocket calculator worked quite well when needing a random sample, .
Some other ways to attempt to gt a true random sample:
In a survey, pick every 5th customer or employee.
Flip a coin – heads yes for that customer or employee, tails no.
Can you think of others?
How about a specific computer program?
