1.Each student will be required to write a critical essay. The essay should be an original, persuasive analysis which relates your topic (in some way) to the material covered in one of the class sessions. It is not supposed to be a traditional term paper or research paper. The critical essay should be about seven pages typed and double-spaced, using MLA in text citation style and including a Works Cited page.
2.For your Summary proposal, I need two paragraphs. In the first paragraph, state your general topic and the question that is the focus of your essay. In the second paragraph, describe how you are going to organize your essay (this can be in outline form). I must approve your topic. **Note the essay may NOT focus on World War I, World War II, the Origins of the Cold War or the Cuban Missile Crisis as we have covered those in class. It’s best if you pick a current political issue in global politics.
